With no doubt, the development and expansion of the Thika super highway has significantly improved the well-being of the residents along this road, the development of business along the same road, and everything including property has appreciated in value. For this reason, investors have taken this opportunity and set up various businesses including shopping malls due an increase in number of middle level income earners within Nairobi and its environs.

These shopping malls have a gone a notch higher to include different services inside one single mall including banks, a supermarket, hotels, residential apartments and other shopping spaces.

Garden City Mall Thika highway

This mega project is sitting on a 32 acre piece of land and has become the first Kenya mall to be integrated with office space, rental space and residential developments. It consists of four hundred and twenty (420) apartments for residential purposes, a three acre parking space, a total of 200,000 square meters office space. It is the second biggest mall in Kenya after the yet to be completed Two River mall being set up in Runda.

The Garden City mall has attracted major great brands both internationally and locally, like the Cold stone creameries, KFC, Domino’s pizza, Massmart, Nakumatt among other.

Thika Road Mall (TRM)

Only a few kilometers from the Nairobi city center at Roysambu, is the new face of shopping in Kenya.  It was the first shopping mall to transform how the shopping business along the road. It houses the first 7D Theater in Kenya- fun at its best. It has several different famous brands including renowned banks, coffee shops, fashion shops and footwear shops, bookshops, eateries, supermarkets and other general services.

The Thika Road mall commonly referred to as the “TRM” is becoming a favorite for international shopping festivals; the Expos.

Mountain mall Thika highway

Though not as big as big as the Thika Road Mall or the Garden City Mall, the mall is adequate enough to accommodate and quench the consumer needs. It’s opposite the Garden city mall and it’s strategically built along the highway and at a junction leading to several estates including Garden Estate and Thome Estate. It has a number of eateries, a supermarket and various retail outlets.

The Vintage Mall

Situated opposite the Garden City Mall entrance and right adjacent to the Mountain Mall is the Vintage Mall which is still under construction. A mixed used development project, the mall will be offering rental space, and well-furnished residential apartments. It will also feature a three star hotel equipped with a spa and gym, and a supermarket
